What is the NLx Research Hub?

The NLx Research Hub provides workforce development professionals, academic researchers, employers, and other organizations that rely on labor market information with high-quality, transparent, real-time and historical data that represents the diversity of jobs available in the United States labor market.

Here in the NLx Research Hub, workforce development professionals and other approved researchers can use NLx data and tools to conduct inquiries that may increase knowledge around the U.S. labor market to better support the nation’s employers and jobseekers.


Who operates the NLx Research Hub?

Who operates the NLx Research Hub? The NLx Research Hub is operated by the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) and DirectEmployers Association (DE). NASWA and DE also operate the National Labor Exchange (NLx) partnership.

What kind of data will be available on the NLx Research Hub?

The data housed on the NLx Research Hub includes job posting records from approximately 2010 to the current year. Individual job posting records may include information such as: position title, location, job description, credentialing/education requirements, and other structured fields.

In July 2021, there were approximately 69,000,000 unique observations housed in the archival dataset with approximately 34 field headings. Though not all records and/or fields may be available to support all research requests and inquiries, this dataset represents a robust set of offerings to explore real-time job vacancy information.
