About the Data

The data housed on the NLx Research Hub has the following attributes:

• Real-Time: The jobs data at the NLx – the primary source for data available at the NLx Research Hub – is refreshed daily, capturing truly real-time labor market information as it comes available.

• High-Quality: As a result of the intentional sourcing and vetting methods deployed to populate the NLx, there is a low incidence of duplicated and/or “junk” records. This results in a cleaner, more utile dataset from which to launch research inquiries.

• Accessibility: The NLx data is not privately held, lowering barriers to access for state workforce partners and the research community.

• Transparency: Sourcing information for the data featured on the NLx Research Hub will always be publicly available and robust to better facilitate the research and inquiry process.

• Trusted Partners: NASWA and DirectEmployers have cemented long-standing relationships with states and employers around the country and globally. It is these foundational relationships – and the goal to maintain trust – that strengthen the NLx Research Hub.

• Labor Market Representation: On a daily basis, there are 3 million jobs* featured on the NLx, including openings from small- and medium-sized employers that often aren’t found on any other source. We are committed to continuing to increase this representativeness in future years.
